180 Degree Rule

The 180-degree rule is a guideline of way producers may be able to film the relationship between two characters. Often this an invisible line is drawn out through around the characters and the camera will only be allowed to film on this side of the camera. Often this type of rule will be used when there is a conversation between two people and will show both of the characters in a different frame.
